Workday Appoints John Lombard As APAC President Eyeing Regional Expansion
Workday has appointed John Lombard as President for APAC, to expand across the region as enterprises accelerate AI adoption.
Workday has appointed John Lombard as President for Asia Pacific, tasking the technology industry veteran with leading the company’s growth strategy across the region as enterprises accelerate AI adoption and digital transformation.
Based in Australia and Singapore, Lombard will oversee Workday’s go-to-market strategy, commercial operations and expansion across key Asia Pacific markets. His mandate includes strengthening the company’s partner ecosystem and helping customers leverage Workday’s AI platform to improve operational efficiency and business growth.
Lombard joins Workday with more than three decades of experience in the technology and consulting sectors. Most recently, he served as Asia Pacific CEO at NTT Data, where he spent nearly a decade. He has also held senior leadership positions at SAP, KPMG Australia and Crowe Howarth, advising enterprises on technology modernisation, regulatory compliance and data-led business transformation.
The appointment comes as organisations across the Asia Pacific region increasingly invest in AI-powered enterprise applications to streamline operations, improve workforce management and optimise financial performance.
Commenting on the appointment, Rob Enslin, President and Chief Commercial Officer at Workday, said the company sees significant opportunities as businesses across the region expand their AI initiatives.
“John’s appointment comes at a critical juncture as APAC organizations increasingly look to AI to elevate employee experiences and optimize financial performance,” Enslin said. “His deep regional expertise, customer-first mindset, and proven track record of building high-performing teams will be instrumental as we scale our operations and help businesses unlock the full potential of the Workday platform.”
